CoWatch is a product of 3 Bears Studio LLC (“3 Bears Studio”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains what CoWatch collects, why, and the choices you have. 3 Bears Studio LLC is the entity responsible for your data.

Account & sign-in. You sign in with Google or Apple. We receive a user identifier and basic profile details from that provider (such as your name and email address; with Sign in with Apple you may choose to hide your email behind Apple’s private relay). Before you sign in, CoWatch uses an anonymous identifier so the app can work; signing in links your data to your account.
Your watch data. The movies, TV shows and anime you track; your ratings; your watch and per-episode progress; your watchlist and any named lists; and your swipe/match choices. This is the content you create by using CoWatch, stored so it syncs across your devices.
Household / partner sharing. If you link with a partner to form a shared space, the items, lists, matches and (spoiler-safe) progress you choose to share become visible to that linked partner. Only people you link with can see shared data.
Notifications. If you enable new-episode alerts, we register a push token for your device so we can notify you when a show you track has a new episode. You can turn this off in your device settings at any time.
Technical / anti-abuse. We use Firebase App Check to verify that requests come from the genuine CoWatch app — this protects the service from abuse and is not advertising or cross-app tracking. Standard server logs may record technical information such as IP address for security and reliability.
Firebase (Google Cloud). Our backend — authentication, database and notifications — runs on Google’s Firebase platform, which processes the data described above on our behalf.
TMDB. Movie, TV and anime details (titles, posters, episodes, where-to-watch) come from The Movie Database (TMDB). We request this information through our own server; we do not send your personal data to TMDB. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
Your data is kept while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Delete account); this erases your account and associated content from our systems, and for Sign in with Apple users it revokes the Apple token. You can also reach us at hello@3bears.studio.
We use industry-standard measures — encrypted connections, authenticated access and App Check — to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe.
CoWatch is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Adult content is filtered by default.
If you enter your email address into the waitlist form on this website, we store that email address, which app’s page you submitted it from, and the date and time. That is the entire record — we do not store your name, your IP address, your browser, or the page you came from.
We use it for one purpose only: to email you when testing or public release opens. We do not send a newsletter, we do not market anything else to you with it, and we do not sell, rent, share, or disclose it to anyone outside the service providers who store it for us.
The waitlist is held on Cloudflare infrastructure operated for us. It is kept until you ask us to remove it, or until the app has launched and that announcement has been sent — whichever comes first.
To be removed at any time, email hello@3bears.studio from the address you signed up with. We will delete the record and confirm. You do not need to give a reason.
This concerns the website only. Nothing in the waitlist is connected to the app, to anything stored on your device, or to any account within the app.
We may update this policy. We’ll change the date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the app or on this page.
